This is a versatile, evergreen beauty: tough enough to thrive in common roadside plantings and pretty enough to be a specimen in sophisticated gardens. The urn-shaped, glowing, PINK, fall flowers, and simultaneous, showy, round orange-red fruit (sort of strawberry-sized) ornament the plant on intowinter. The fruits are edible if you so desire…but sadly they are not as sweet & tasty as genuine strawberries. Attractive, flaky, brownish-orange bark and twisty branches are worth showing off if you choose to prune the shrub into a small tree form. This cultivar is a bit hard to find in the trade…get ’em while you can!
